Introducing Voxen: The Blockchain Gaming Universe We Always Wanted

Voxen combines Minecraft-style world building with Roblox-inspired social gameplay and a creator economy powered by $VOX on Base. Here is what that actually means.

Introducing Voxen: The Blockchain Gaming Universe We Always Wanted

For years, the gaming industry has circled the same drain: centralized platforms take the lion's share of creator revenue, players have no real ownership of the things they earn, and the best games live on closed ecosystems that can pull the rug at any moment. Voxen is our answer to that.

What is Voxen?

At its core, Voxen is a voxel-based gaming platform — think Minecraft's creative sandbox combined with Roblox's social game layer. Except every item, every world, every creator reward is backed by real blockchain ownership on Base, Coinbase's Ethereum Layer 2.

Why Base Chain?

We evaluated every L2. Base won for a simple reason: it is cheap, fast, and backed by infrastructure that hundreds of millions of people already use through Coinbase. Near-zero transaction fees mean players can actually interact with the economy without $20 gas fees killing the vibe.

Base Chain at a Glance

Base is an Ethereum L2 built by Coinbase. It processes transactions in seconds for fractions of a cent, is EVM-compatible, and is already one of the fastest-growing L2 ecosystems by transaction volume.

The $VOX Token

Think of $VOX the way you think of Robux — except you actually own it, you can earn it, and no corporation can freeze your balance. $VOX is the in-game currency, the governance token, and the creator reward mechanism all rolled into one.

$VOX token distribution — 80% goes directly to the community and players.

What can you do with $VOX?

  • Buy cosmetics, skins, and in-game items
  • Unlock premium worlds created by other players
  • Pay for access to featured game modes
  • Earn creator monetization when players enter your world
  • Stake for passive rewards
  • Vote on governance proposals
  • Trade on the $VOX NFT marketplace
  • Bridge cross-game economy items

Token Supply Breakdown

We believe token distribution is a moral statement about who a project is really for. Here is ours:

  1. 80% — Community & Ecosystem: Play-to-earn rewards, in-game treasury, staking, and public sale.
  2. 10% — Marketing: Growth campaigns, exchange listings, and strategic partnerships.
  3. 5% — Team: Core team allocation with a vesting schedule to ensure long-term alignment.
  4. 5% — Creator Onboarding: Grants and rewards for early builders creating games on Voxen.

We wanted a distribution where the first question anyone could ask — "who does this token actually serve?" — had a single, obvious answer: the players and creators.

The Creator Economy

Roblox made $923 million in 2023 from a game creation platform. Of that, creators received around $741 million across all payouts — but only the top 0.01% made meaningful money. The rest built for free. Voxen flips that.

Our creator fund distributes $VOX directly to builders based on player engagement in their worlds. There is no gatekeeping, no algorithm favouring established accounts, and no platform tax eating into earnings. If players are in your world, you earn.

Creator Onboarding Program

The first wave of verified creators will receive $VOX grants to build their initial worlds, giving them a head start before the public launch. Applications open when development milestones are reached.

What Comes Next

Voxen is in active development. The next major milestone is the closed beta, where the first testers will get their hands on early builds of the world engine and creation tools. If you want to be in that first wave, join the Play waitlist.

$VOX Has Not Launched

Everything described here is part of the planned design. $VOX is not live, no token sale is open, and no investment is being solicited. This post is for informational purposes only.
